General News
StakeCube in Numbers
Things have calmed down a bit this week, with fewer numbers joining StakeCube but still very strong trading volumes. In the coming weeks we expect to see exchange volume to slowly return to normal levels as the rush to buy TUP subsides. The Crypto markets in general have continued the uptrend, with many big cap altcoins outperforming Bitcoin. In particular smart contract chains like Solana or Terra saw huge growth, but also more classic ones like Dash and Dogecoin had big increases. SCC had a decent week as well, with some price recovery in BTC terms.
- User Count: 114,677 +1.39%
- Pool Value: 714.71 BTC +3.75%
- Daily BTC Mined: 0.121 BTC -16.55%
- SCC Price: $1.12 +12.00%
- SCC Market Cap: $10,505,000 +13.27%
- Daily Exchange Volume $543,155 +23.13%
- Alexa Rank 21,334 -199
As for the top gainers, ESBC had a spectacular week with 64.34% growth. Impressively enough, Dash managed to get the fifth place, which is pretty amazing for a top 100 coin. This was this week’s top five:
Top 5 Gainers
- ESBC +64.34%
- DOGEC+56.52%
- BLOCK +34.05%
- SYS +29.40%
- DASH +24.89%
Axie Infinity Scolarship
Very soon we will be starting a new program to offer a way for people to earn some money with Crypto gaming. The first game we will offer this for is Axie Infinity:
Axie Infinity is a Pokémon-inspired universe where anyone can earn tokens through gameplay and contributions to the ecosystem. Players can battle, collect, raise, and build a land-based kingdom for their pets.
At StakeCube, we will provide you with some of our Axies, so that you can play the game and earn in-game tokens. This will cost you nothing, and in exchange we only ask for a percentage of your earnings. A player can make hundreds of dollars a month just by playing the game. If you’re interested in joining this initiative, head over to our StakeCube E-Sports Discord channel:
https://discord.com/invite/hYnd62u
We recommend that you show interest early, as there are limited spots available.
Trivia Role
Some users had been complaining that we were tagging them too often in the #trivia channel on Discord. We have now created a trivia role specifically for people that want to participate in trivia competitions. If you’re interested in this, you’ll need to get the role by going to the #botcube-earndrop channel on Discord, and typing !trivia. Botcube will then assign you the role automatically, and you will be able to see the notifications.
We will keep tagging everyone on Saturdays so that newcomers can still discover the competition and participate. The other days, we will only tag the users that got the role.
Wallets in Maintenance
Since a number of wallets are in maintenance at the moment we thought we’d give an update regarding their status.
The BITB wallet was recently updated and is still syncing. With about 1 million blocks to go, we estimate it will take 3 to 4 days to finish. ULG and GHOST are in maintenance at the coin team’s request. For more information regarding this decision you’ll have to ask the respective teams. As for DOGEC, they are still working on enabling full block rewards and until they find a solution the wallet will continue to be in maintenance.
NodeCube Maintenance
The planned NodeCube maintenance from the 13th of August was successful. We also took this time to upgrade the servers that NodeCube uses. Backend performance has improved as a consequence, but there aren’t any visual changes on the app itself.
MineCube Payout Delayed
On Sunday, we will postpone the payment of MineCube rewards to Monday at noon server time. From now on, all payments will be credited at that time, instead of in the evening. Obviously users will not lose any rewards, as we will simply accumulate them to give a bigger payout on Monday.
Support Tickets
We have observed a significant reduction in the number of support tickets, particularly towards the end of this week. This is a sign that the system is working well and able to handle the traffic again.
MineCube Stats
The last 3 weeks, demand for MineCube workers has experienced a very clear uptrend. To make sure there aren’t any shortages, we increased our miner orders. Here are some MineCube statistics for this week:
- 240 users with at least 100% recovered
- 158 average workers per user
- Highest recovery rate: 106.36%
Development News
Future Exchange Capabilities
Most of the development work this week has been focused on the exchange that will be released with the new version of StakeCube. Recent events have shown how important it is to have a system that can scale to face sudden increases in trading volumes. The new engine will be able to handle up to 22.4 million transactions per second with support for multi-threading capabilities. This puts us at the same level or better than Binance and other leading Crypto exchanges. It also increases our current capacity by a factor of 2 million.
At the moment we cannot disclose anything else regarding the underlying technologies; but rest assured, the future StakeCube will be able to handle any amount of traffic we throw its way.
