This Week on StakeCube, 3rd of June 2022

General News

StakeCube in Numbers

Although this week we haven’t seen seen Bitcoin reach new lows for the first time in a while, it hasn’t brought any discernible recovery either. Once again, Bitcoin price dumped on Friday, sitting at the moment slightly below $30,000. The Crypto Fear & Greed Index is now approaching single digit territory, something we have only seen a handful of times in the entire history of this indicator.

Doubtlessly we are now living through a bear market, and we will start to see more and more Bitcoin obituaries in the news. In these difficult times, it is important to remain patient and put things into perspective. These websites might help you achieve just that:

On StakeCube our pool value fell quite heavily following the collapse in price of PNY, one of our most popular listed coins. Other than that, the numbers don’t reflect any big changes. SCC seems to be holding close to the 1000 Satoshi level for the moment.

  • User Count: 142,890 +0.29%
  • Pool Value: 531.75 BTC -3.62%
  • Daily BTC Mined: 0.044 BTC +100.00%
  • SCC Price: $0.26 -3.70%
  • SCC Market Cap: $2,826,000 -2.35%
  • Daily Exchange Volume $58,658 -22.45%
  • Daily SCP Transactions: 24 +0.0%

This week it was DAPS leading the top 5 listed coins, with 3 different coins achieving a weekly growth of more than 30%.

Top 5 Gainers

  1. DAPS +37.2%
  2. GHOST +31.0%
  3. DOGEC+30.7%
  4. RDD +24.9%
  5. 777 +20.8%
MeaTec issues

MeaTec experienced a technical issue this week that forced them to take the payout system offline for a while. This caused disruption in the distribution of MineCube rewards, which had to be delayed. These were their official communications:

Finally the payout system was restored on Thursday and we were able to distribute today the rewards generated over the last 2 weeks. As a general rule, if the weekly distribution is due during a scheduled maintenance, it will be postponed to the following week. However, for unscheduled maintenance periods, such as the one we experienced this week, we will distribute rewards on the next possible day.

Earn Minimums

We had several tickets where users reported that they are not getting staking rewards. Please keep in mind that since we moved most of the staking coins to the Earn system, users need to hold a minimum balance in order to receive Earn rewards. New Support System Reminder

Some community members were asking through our social media regarding the old Discord support system. As we announced last week, we have temporarily moved the support system to an e-mail basis in preparation for the StakeCube Version 3 release. You can read more about it here:

https://stakecube.info/this-week-on-stakecube-27th-of-may-2022

Also, please remember to include all the necessary information to resolve your case in the ticket. We have received emails that did not have all the data we needed, and some of them were completely blank. This adds unnecessary friction and extends the time it takes to solve a support case. To avoid this, make sure to include as much information as possible regarding your account and the problem that you are encountering. Don’t forget to mention things such as your username, relevant transaction ids, affected assets, etc. Also, include screenshots as attachment to the email to help our agents understand the nature of the problem. For the moment we only offer support in English, so make sure to use this language to write your email.

In the case of a ticket that does not contain all the necessary information, we will give you a period of 48h to report everything that was missing. After that period, all tickets for which we did not receive a reply or did not provide the required information will be closed.

In order to open a support ticket, simply send an email to our support email address:

support@stakecube.zohodesk.com

You must send the email from the same address that you used to register on StakeCube.

MineCube Poll

Next week we will make public the poll regarding the next steps for MineCube. Users that have purchased workers will receive the poll as an email to the account they used to register on StakeCube. The poll will contain all available information, including the advantages and disadvantages of all the options. Voting will be open until the 1st of July. Remember that the weight of your vote will be determined by the number of workers that you own. Once we count the votes, we will update you further regarding our next steps before the end of July.

Dash Shared Nodes

It seems like a Dash whale joined the StakeCube family and filled all the available Dash shared masternodes! We have started the newly filled nodes and started a new collecting one. There are now 18 running Dash masternodes on StakeCube.

StakeCube eSports

StakeCube eSports will host a stream explaining how to use all services available on the StakeCube platform. Users are more than welcome to contribute and comment during the stream any suggestions that they might have. The stream will be on Wednesday at 8:00 UTC. Watch it on our official Twitch channel:

Requested Features

These are this week’s selected features from the #feature-request channel on Discord:

  • Possibility to classify coins by category in the coin wallet view: Exchange, Masternode, Staking, Earn, Interest.
  • Possibility to buy using SCC an advertising banner which would be displayed on the faucets page.
  • Add Tron network support for TRX and USDT(TRC20)

As usual, we will review these requests and see which ones we can implement on StakeCube Version 3.

Wallet Maintenance News

Wallet Updates

We updated the following wallets:

FIRO
Previous version: 0.14.9.5
New version: 0.14.10.0

This was a mandatory update following the hard fork that occurred on the 16th of June. This release reduced block time to 2.5 minutes and changed the block reward division to the following:

  • 50% Masternodes (previously 35%)
  • 25% Miners (previously 50%)
  • 15% Dev reward (no change)
  • 10% Community Fund (previously 0%)

TUP
Previous version: 1.1.0.4
New version: 3.4.0.0

There are currently no release nodes on their Github for this but it is probably a mandatory release as it’s a code re-base to a newer version of PIVX in order to prevent the exploit. Masternodes need to be restarted after this update.
