This Week on StakeCube, 25th of February 2022

General News

This week the big story affecting all markets was the war in Ukraine. As soon as it started we saw a big downturn that affected Bitcoin particularly severely. However, once the situation became clearer regarding sanctions we experienced a solid recovery and the week has ended with Bitcoin down about 4%. As the war continues to unfold and talk about new sanctions continues, it is difficult to predict what prices will do in the following weeks. The European Parliament was also supposed to vote on a law to limit the use of PoW blockchains but this has been postponed. As for StakeCube’s performance, it was basically the same as the rest of the market, while maintaining a healthy volume level on the exchange.

StakeCube in Numbers
  • User Count: 136,808 +0.40%

  • Daily Exchange Volume $75,997 +0.09%
  • Alexa Rank 15,990 +74

Again we don’t have any big outliers in the top 5 listed coins, as most coins ended in the red with not so many exceptions.

These were the top 5 gainers for this week:

Dash and Sys Shared Masternodes

Big week for our large shared masternodes. Our 17th Dash masternode filled less than a week after opening it for collection. The 18th masternode is now collecting, so you know what to do!

The Syscoin shared masternode we opened 2 weeks ago is now almost 2/3 full.

For reference, the Syscoin masternode has an ROI of 7.54% a year and a collateral value of $48,000. The Dash masternode has an ROI of 5.93% and a collateral value of $93,000. These are big masternodes that most investors can’t really afford. StakeCube can make a big difference for them by giving them the option to participate in this kind of investment without needing the whole collateral.

StakeCube eSports

StakeCube eSports has established a new partnership with CryptechCraft. CryptechCraft will host a heavily modified Minecraft server with its own Crypto economy. This allows users to sell in-game assets for cryptocurrency, like for instance, you will be able to sell Minecraft diamonds for SCC! The goal is to create a new play-to-earn possibility based on the popular online game Minecraft.

If you find all of this interesting and you want to participate, join our server to obtain the Minecraft role and to learn more about it:

KTS, LUX, TUP, MONK Wallet Maintenance Updates

The KTS team is working to resolve the wallet sync issues surrounding the hard fork.

The explorer StakeCube uses for LUX is still in an expired state. We have been communicated that LUX will be swapping to a new chain soon.

TUP remains in maintenance as we continue to wait the release of a new wallet version that fixes the masternode bug. More information here:

https://stakecube.info/this-week-on-stakecube-14th-of-january-2022

The MONK masternode collateral increase will be happening in approximately 15 days, around the 12th of march. The collateral requirement for MONK masternodes will increase from 20,000 to 30,000 coins. Users with NodeCube hot nodes will have to destroy them from their account and re-deploy them with the additional collateral. Otherwise the masternodes will not generate new rewards. Users with NodeCube cold nodes will have to restart their masternodes after setting them up with the new collateral.

Derek Twitter Spaces

In exactly 3 hours Derek and RVG will host a Twitter spaces to discuss Crypto news, markets and of course this newsletter. Join the conversation here:

This event will also be recorded for later viewing.

ESBC Swap and Project Merge

StakeCube will be supporting the upcoming ESBC Jackpot (777) swap and project merge. The swap ratio was set by ESBC and Jackpot teams to 1:1. On the 1th of March, we will close deposits for ESBC and swap the ESBC to 777 at the specified ratio.  The conversion will happen automatically on the user’s balance. Withdrawals and deposits will not be possible until the 777 wallet is online. Please don’t deposit ESBC to StakeCube after the swap date, as this would result in loss of funds.

You can read more about the Jackpot project into which ESBC will be merged on their website:

BNB/BEP-20 Maintenance

On the 26th of February we will put the BNB/BEP-20 wallet into maintenance in order to prune the blockchain data. This process can last up to 48 hours. During the down time, withdrawals and deposits will not be possible.

Development News

SCP Wallet

While v3 continues its deep development phase, a couple small improvements have trickled their way into the next SCP Wallet release with the help of a community developer. A few of the new additions are:

StakeCube Version 3 Support

As we announced in the general plan for StakeCube version 3, we are working on an on-board ticket system that will be included directly on the website. You can see the full list of version 3 features here:

https://stakecube.info/this-week-on-stakecube-28th-of-january-2022

Being directly on StakeCube.net, the new support system will be much better accessible to all users, including those that prefer Telegram to Discord or don’t use social media at all. Users will be able to consult their history of tickets, and have the option to receive e-mail notifications when the ticket status changes. We are also working on a comprehensive FAQ, so that it is easier for users to navigate the website. The new system will use these articles and present them to the user automatically whenever they could be relevant.

At StakeCube we deeply care about customer satisfaction and we expect this new system to ensure a much smoother support experience.

Requested Features

This week’s 3 highlighted features from the #feature-request Discord channel are:

  • Auto-sell function for staking rewards
  • Profit-sharing for the exchange to SCC holders
  • Automatic scheduled withdrawals for selected assets

As we announced, the auto-sell and auto-reinvest features are already present in StakeCube version 3. The others we will study and see how we could implement them. Remember that you can make suggestions to include more features on the aforementioned #feature-request channel on Discord:
