StakeCube in Numbers
Bitcoin finally reached a new all time high this week, breaking above $66,000 on Wednesday. This was probably prompted by the release of the first Bitcoin futures ETF in the US, with a second one joining only two days later. All of this action overheated the market and we ended up losing some gains towards the end of the week. Altcoins underperformed on the way up but caught up significantly in the last few days. Particularly Solana seems to be having a great week, climbing to the top 6. On StakeCube things were pretty stable, with SCC following the general market trend. Daily exchange volume seems to have bottomed out and remains at pretty good levels.

New Logo Release
As we have mentioned in the past, we are working on a complete re-brand for StakeCube to come with the release of the new version. Having a brand is important, as it imbues our platform and community with a clear identity that helps us stand out and be recognized. Attractive visual elements are essential not just to be more easily noticed but also to be remembered afterwards. Today we took the first step towards this rebrand with the release of our new logo. The new logo has been submitted to all relevant platforms that list StakeCube, such as CoinGecko or CoinMarketCap. In the next few days we will also implement the logo on the SCP wallet, SCPscan and all social media. We expect this new image will help our marketing efforts moving forward. Monk Collateral Change
After block 200,000, Monk masternodes increased their collateral requirement from 8,000 coins to 12,000 . This makes it necessary to redeploy all masternodes with the new collateral. Users must destroy all hot nodes they had with the previous collateral, and set up new ones.
SCC Halving
As we informed two weeks ago, a “halving” event has happened for SCC 2 days ago on block 250,000. It reduced the issuance of new coins from 9 SCC per block to 8 SCC. Of these, 5.6 SCC will go to masternode owners while 2.4 SCC will go to miners. With 11% fewer coins created per block, we could see a positive effect on prices. Please keep in mind that new trading pairs usually have low liquidity until the order-books are sufficiently populated. Big market orders can take a huge slippage and cause you to lose money if you are not careful. Always check the order-book to see if there is enough liquidity for your market order, or simply use limit orders.

Development News
SCP Wallet
The past week our efforts focused mainly on developing UI InstantSend for SCP-4: Collections and NFTs. Collections now have full InstantSend integration, with NFTs progressing rapidly as well. Once finished this will greatly improve functionality by providing instant deployment of collections, NFT minting, transfers and burns.
Along with these major developments, there were some minor UX/UI improvements:
- A minor issue causing SCC in the wallet to appear “duplicated” is now fixed. This was related to the mempool tracking of spent/unspent UTXOs in relation to on-chain confirmed UTXOs. The fix should now make wallets (GUI and API) more stable.
- NFT Image previews for images containing spaces in their filenames are now correctly displayed.
- Collections now load and render faster after bootup/restart of the wallet.
- All activity now loads and refreshes faster in the GUI wallet.
- After deploying a collection, the UI now switches to the Collections menu and scrolls down to your new collection. There, new InstantSend and deployment indicators can be found.
