StakeCube in Numbers

Although Bitcoin was showing weakness at the beginning of the week, and some people thought it would lose the $40k support; we got a huge green candle on Friday that has taken us close to the $50k mark again. This new surge in optimism could be related to the change of the month, as Cryptos have traditionally performed poorly in September. Whatever the cause, it seems to be positively affecting most coins, SCC being no exception with more than 21% weekly growth. But StakeCube.net also saw impressive growth figures, with almost 2000 new users joining this week. That is double as many as last week, to give an example. The only negative figure is a decrease in pool value, which was caused by huge withdrawals of TUP to be swapped to the new Ethereum token.

  • User Count: 122,761 +1.72%
  • Pool Value: 631.13 BTC -6.70%
  • Daily BTC Mined: 0.097 BTC +1.04%
  • SCC Price: $1.02 +21.43%
  • SCC Market Cap: $9,592,000 +21.26%
  • Daily Exchange Volume $601,461 +26.68%
  • Alexa Rank 19,117 +61

Top 1 this week was BTCT with a humongous growth of 281.4%. While this is probably just a spike caused by a relatively illiquid trading pair, it is still a nice surprise to wake up to for BTCT investors. Thanks to its great performance, SCC managed to sneak into the top 5 as well this week.

Top 5 Gainers

  1. BTCT+281.4%
  2. PNY+30.1%
  3. XLR+24.2%
  4. POLIS+24.0%
  5. SCC+21.2%

TUP Swap

The TUP Swap to the Ethereum network has started this week. The increased traffic from all the withdrawals of TUP to be swapped caused some backlogs at times, but the situation quickly resolved itself. As far as we know, the TUP team intends to keep both the old TUP and the new token running. If you’re interested in swapping your TUP, just follow the instructions you will find here:

MineCube News

On the 29th there was there was some sort of error on Meatec’s side that postponed the corresponding MineCube payment to the 30th. Some users noticed that the accrued values were abnormally high, but they also turned out not to be real. Apparently an update had to be installed on their database. The installation was successful and payments went through the next day as promised. This was the official communication:

https://twitter.com/meatecm/status/1443118723829747712?s=21

These are some statistics for MineCube as of today:

  • 341 users with at least 100% recovered
  • 165 average workers per user
  • Highest recovery rate: 116.3%
  • $1.98 million worth of workers sold

Certainly the latest issues with Meatec haven’t helped attract more investors but nevertheless we are at most 2 weeks away from the goal of $2 million worth of workers sold.

SCP Wallet Outage:

Between the 30th of September at 23:00 and the 1st of October at 16:30 UTC there was an API outage that affected the SCP wallet. It was caused by the faulty issuance of a new SSL certificate from LetsEncrypt. The outage has now been resolved, and new valid certificates have been issued. This was a one-time problem which has been resolved for the foreseeable future.

Some full-node users also experienced issues loading their balances. This is an accidental dependency on an Explorer. We have noted it and will be patching it with a future update. Full-nodes will prioritise their own RPC data, rather than a 3rd-party explorer for balances.

This of course did not affect the SCC blockchain or the real balance status. Just the light-wallet experienced these issues.

Development News

SCP NFTs have advanced further, with the full integration of IPFS and a very intuitive NFT creator. The entire process was designed with decentralization in mind, while maintaining user-friendliness. NFTs are now in internal testing phase, with the next steps being the integration of NFTs into the light-wallet and public testing for the community on the Testnet.
