StakeCubeCoin - How to update v2 to v3

In this guide we explain how to update your StakeCubeCoin (SCC) core wallet from v2.1.0 to v3.0.1:

Since the update is a swap that starts a new chain, we assume you have moved all your SCC from your personal wallet to a third party service.

Do NOT send SCC from the old chain to an address on the new chain!!!

Remove/delete your complete data-directory (you can take a backup, if you want):
- Windows default path: C:\Users\$username\AppData\Roaming\StakeCubeCoin
- Linux default path: ~/.stakecubecoin/
- Mac default path: ~/users/$username/Library/ApplicationSupport/StakeCubeCoin
Download the latest wallet release for your operating system here
Start the executable
Choose a location for the blockchain data or simply continue with “OK” to use the default path
Wait for the wallet to sync and verify you are on the right chain by comparing your block height and hash with an explorer
Encrypt your wallet with a strong password via Settings -> Encrypt Wallet
- Make sure to remember your password. If you forget it, all coins will be lost!
- Never share your password with anyone!
The wallet will shutdown after setting the passphrase
Restart your wallet and the update is ready

Optional but highly recommended for your security:

Go to your blockchain data directory, navigate to the backups folder and delete the first auto-created backup file named like wallet.dat.2020-xx-xx-xx-xx (this contains your private keys but is not yet encrypted)
Create a separate backup of your wallet.dat file from the wallets sub-folder

Do NOT send SCC from the old chain to an address on the new chain!!!
